Adultery Temple

Psalm 50:16-18
16 But to the wicked God says,
“What right have you to tell of My statutes
And to take My covenant in your mouth?
17 “For you hate discipline,
And you cast My words behind you.
18 “When you see a thief, you are pleased with him,
And you associate with adulterers.

wick·ed    adjective 1. evil or morally bad in principle or practice; sinful; iniquitous.

Wickedness has plagued the church for many centuries, and there is always the struggle between good, and evil.

The perception of which is impossible without the word of the Lord, and the leading of His Spirit of Truth. Corruption, and compromise are ever before us, and we are constantly tempted in this world to compromise the truth in order to have the things we desire in our hearts.  If we do not practice the truth completely, then God abases us, and we are found to be hypocrites, and our witness becomes ineffective.
We have become a generation that deplores discipline, and accountability.  It is politically wrong to hold someone accountable for his or her sins, and we cast the truth, and the consequences behind us, and say that God will excuse all the bad behavior, and that grace covers even the unrepentant sins. We have stretched grace to cover our iniquity, and have nullified repentance completely, and reduced our obligation to repeating some words, and then scooping up all that God has to offer, in a very presumptuous way.
We have even told the men who have their neighbor's wife that they do not have to give them up, and repent of their sin.  We tell the thief that he does not have to give back what he has stolen, but what did the Lord say about keeping something that belongs to your neighbor?.

Deuteronomy 5:21
21 ‘You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, and you shall not desire your neighbor’s house, his field or his male servant or his female servant, his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.’
Whoever marries a divorced woman is practicing adultery.  The present religious organizations have totally nullified this word from the Lord, in order to accommodate the people that are in adulterous relationships.
We hear flippant comments like: "too bad it didn't work out", or: "hope they do better next time".  The religious organizations have suppressed the truth to the point that now they are almost completely abased, and the general population has almost no regard at all for the fear of the Lord, or the sentence of hell that each one of us faces if we do not turn from our sin. The word "associate" that is in verse 18 of  Psalm 50 means "to run with", or: "to share your inheritance with".  If we say that someone is "saved" if he or she is practicing sin, then we are doing them a disservice.  If we say that someone who is practicing adultery is "saved", or "the Lord is pleased with them", then we have become hypocrites, and are not telling people the truth so that they might repent, and be saved indeed.
The churches have not only suppressed the truth, but they actually encourage this type of behavior.  They have become hypocritical in their assumptions, and have been completely abased. If they do not repent of this compromise then they all might as well be known as Adultery Temple.
If we want to see power in the lives of believers, and deliverance from all the things that plague us, then we must practice the truth.

Matthew 5:30
30 If your right hand makes you sin, cut it off and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to go into hell.
and also:

Revelation 3:5
5 He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

Mark 8:34-38
34 And He summoned the crowd with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. 35 For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. 36 For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? 37 For what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”

a·dul·ter·ous  adjective    characterized by or involved in adultery; illicit: an adulterous relationship.

Luke 17:3
3 Be on your guard! If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.

1 Timothy 5:20
20 Those who continue in sin, rebuke in the presence of all, so that the rest also will be fearful of sinning.

The religious organizations are always tempted to allow adultery, because of their need for great sums of money, or give in to family members, and friends that have decided to resist God's word. Like the Pharisees of old, they stumble in their love for the influence, and position they hold over the people.  They want to accommodate the culture and be a "friend to the world".  They are abased, and have no power, in essence they have become the epitamy of the term "Adultery Temple".
